21 Lines Fusion Sonnets of 21st Century by Dr. Sonnet Mondal

Noted variations in 21 Lines Fusion Sonnet form unlike 14 lines sonnets are that, they follow
Same Rhythm and Rhyme in 1st,5th,9th & 10th Lines,
 in 2nd,3rd & 4th Lines,
 in 6th,7th & 8th lines, r
hetorical questions in 9th & 10th lines.
A negative and pessimistic note is maintained in the first 10 lines followed by
free verse carrying Optimistic Tone in 11th, 12th,13 & 14th Lines.The
Volta comes gradually through 9th, 10th and 11th lines.
The 14 lines in each case is followed by a half sonnet of 7 lines acting as a coda to add a two dimensional note in the poem, beginning with the same 1st line and ending with the 5th line of the poem. Here too
Same Rhythm and Rhyme is maintained in 16th and 17th lines and
 in 18th and 19th lines.
Volta is in the 20th line.
Sonnet has left liberties in the length of lines and Rhyme based upon the closeness of pronunciations. Each of the 70
21 Lines Fusion Sonnets deal with heavy and deep themes.

Sonnet Mondal's work increases in excellence. He is a young man, but true poetry is ageless. His seventy sonnets in the book "21 lines Fusion Sonnets Of 21st Century" are fresh, original, and innovative. They prove him to be a pioneer of some note, breaking new ground in the world of literature. His style is inimitable, his command of the English language superior, his poetic gift unmistakable. I can envision this new type of sonnet appearing in poetry text books and being emulated by those who have a zeal for creative adventure. The poet tells us that he was inspired by Gerard Manley Hopkins who might have had kind words to say in defense of his inventiveness.

Mondal bares his soul in these sensitive offerings. He proves once again that the genuine poet is brave enough to give himself away in words. He speaks eloquently of the pain of creativity, the agony of rejection, the beauty of nature, the plight of the powerless, the frailty of the forsaken, the demise of our planet earth and the total cynicism of the pitiless. The reader will be spellbound by the scope and strength of his powerful, emotional message.

Every piece in this collection has merit, but I cite Sonnet Twenty-five as an example of the high quality of the work presented here. This soliloquy
stands in comparison with the best sonnets I have read in more than half a century of poetic experience.

In the poet's evocative words from, Sonnet Twenty-Five:

“We two brothers brought up in the same cradle of
care,
Separation was not meant for us;
Hand in hand even in tightest mass,
For we were the seeds of the same grass.
The love was intended for a short time-I was left bare.”

Poetry is essentially a performance. This one deserves a standing ovation.
