A Word from the Staff
of The Houston Literary Review

The Houston Literary Review is dedicated to showcasing the best possible writing and art work from Houston and beyond. We hope this website will also continue to be a portal for future craftsmen and artists looking to speak their first words. So don't be timid, express yourself.

This next year promises to require more efforts and dedication on our part, but we are steadfast in our belief that THLR can become an important outlet for artists of all ages and backgrounds.

Nicolette Westfall, Visual Arts Editor

arts.editor@thehoustonliteraryreview.com

Nicolette Westfall is an artist from Southwestern Ontario who is currently focusing on photography and writing.  Her work tends to focus on the underbelly of society, with subject matter that often includes the decaying and rusting elements we bury in back allies and neglected waterfronts.  She actively seeks out the sublime in the most unexpected places.  View some of her photography at Neon Magazine and the

archived Athica Ingest show.
